The Council of Ministers Resolution No 74-A/2021 establishes air traffic restrictive measures in force until 30 June 2021.
Among the restrictive measures, we stand out changes in the type of tests admitted for travel, namely the presentation of rapid antigen test (TRAg).
Air traffic to and from mainland Portugal is permitted to and from all countries of the European Union, Schengen Area (Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland), and the United Kingdom, as well as to and from countries where the epidemiological situation is controlled: Australia, China, South Korea, Israel, New Zealand, Rwanda, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong and Macau.
All passengers coming from or going to other countries are only allowed to travel if it is considered essential travel.
All passengers, regardless of nationality, remain obliged to provide proof of:
- RT-PCR laboratory test with negative result performed in the 72h before boarding; or
- Rapid antigen test (TRAg) performed 24 hours before boarding.
Prophylactic isolation of 14 days and the proof of the RT-PCR negative test remains mandatory for passengers from Brazil, India, and South Africa.
