Citizens who need to renew or get their Citizen’s Cards or Portuguese Passports will be able to do so on the next eight Saturdays, between October 2 and November 20, during extended hours and in the “open house” modality.
The initiative covers nine Citizen’s Card stores throughout the country and some IRN (Institute of Registration and Notary) public service counters.
The service for renewal will be done by assigning digital tickets, through the site Mapa do Cidadão or on site. For document collection, tickets will only be given on site.
Citizen’s Shops which, as of October 2, will operate in an open house regime, and with extended opening hours between 9am and 10pm:
Laranjeiras, Saldanha, Marvila and Odivelas, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, Coimbra, Braga and Faro

Despite the initiative being in effect for the next eight Saturdays, it is still possible to renew and pick up documents during the week, at the usual locations and times by appointment.
