The Semente Program is driven by the National Network of Incubators and provides support to individual investors who wish to participate in the capital of innovative startups. On the one hand, it ensures a favourable tax regime for investors; on the other hand, it favours the creation and growth of entrepreneurial and innovation projects.
As for investors, in addition to equity stakes in innovative entrepreneurship projects, they enjoy tax deductions of up to 25% on the investment made, and up to 40% on their annual personal income tax for three consecutive years.
To be eligible for this programme, companies must meet four key requirements:
- Be innovative companies with high growth potential
- Be certified as an SME
- Be certified by the National Network of Incubators as Startup Seed
- They may not be listed on a regulated or unregulated stock exchange market
The objectives of the project are to increase investment in start-ups; facilitate access to initial capital; reduce business mortality; increase the creation of sustainable innovative business projects; and develop a culture of investment in start-ups at an early stage.
Thus, this Programme (which favours the interconnection between start-ups and incubators, as well as the proximity of investors to entrepreneurs) aims to favour the emergence of a new generation of start-up investors by providing adequate amounts for the start-up phase.
