The marriage of a Portuguese citizen that is officiated abroad must be transcribed to Portugal to be recorded in the birth certificate.

Portuguese citizens have the obligation to transcribe to Portugal the acts and facts of their life registered abroad.

Requirements:

One of the spouses has Portuguese citizenship
Celebrated the marriage abroad

Process:

Power of attorney
Birth certificate of the couple
Marriage certificate
