Portuguese family businesses are Europe’s second most optimistic and confident about the success of its business and economy over the next 12 months.
The conclusion is from KPMG’s European Family Business Barometer and was presented this Wednesday in Serralves, Porto, at a conference held in partnership with Expresso Journal.
According to this survey, the most optimistic country is Ireland, where 91% of the family businesses surveyed said they were confident about their business. Portugal comes next, with 78% of respondents showing the same optimism, which is followed by the Netherlands, with 67% of very positive answers about the future.
These countries also show optimism above the average in Europe where 62% of family businesses said they were confident or very confident that business will go well.
